GQ Magazine Shoot for Bombay Sapphire's Inspired Bartender Competition

Today, Michelle and I drove over to Mitchell's Fish Market on Summit Plaza Drive to photograph Clay Livingston, who was the winner of Bombay Sapphire's and GQ Magazine's Most Inspired Bartender of Louisville 2009 competition.  Clay is a bartender at the restaurant and he won the competition with his original Sapphire Crush, which consists of Bombay Sapphire Gin, fresh lemon juice, Soho Lychee, and house made ginger syrup (and he tosses in a few lemon and cucumber slices).  I tried it after the shoot and it was actually really good.  I don't drink much and don't care for gin at all, but that was a tasty drink, and it's no surprise that it won.  Clay was great to photograph and we all joked around and had fun.

Here are a few quick edits on a couple of shots.  The magazine will make their own selections and edits.

After the shoot, Michelle and I enjoyed a great lunch on the house (thanks Hap!).  Mitchell's Fish Market has always been one of our favorite restaurants in Louisville and we've always enjoyed great service.  So, how is that for a half-day of work? Joking around, having fun, taking pictures, and eating a delicious lunch.

I was searching the website to find new wedding photographers to refer to my clients and was super suprised to see one of my best friends smiling back at me! These pictures were great (though you did have a super good subject-meaning Clay not the booze). I just wanted to thank you for making me smile!

    Truly,
    Lauren

P.S. I put you on my list for future wedding photographers too!
