On Friday, May 6, following the Oaks, we were given the opportunity to provide photography for the Julep Ball and the James Graham Brown Cancer Center at the Galt House in Louisville, KY. Everything went very well and we had a lot of fun photographing the guests and they were pleased to have their photos delivered to them almost immediately after they were taken in a nice Julep Ball easel frame!
So we would like to thank everyone involved with the Julep Ball, the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, and the Galt House for the opportunity to photograph such a wonderful event and we would also like to thank everyone who contributed to such a fantastic cause by attending the Julep Ball 2011!
To further demonstrate our appreciation, 25% of all online orders will be donated to the charity! If you were a guest and would like to order additional prints please visit our online gallery to do so!
Alyssa and Harlen were marred on March 12, 2011, at the Gillespie in downtown Louisville, KY. It was a beautiful day and everything went well. As it turned out, after Alyssa and Harlen had set their wedding date, a Lady Gaga concert was scheduled nearby at the Yum Center for the same night. So, they adjusted their wedding timeline for the day and bought tickets! They were featured on the local news as they marched over to the Yum Center that night to see Lady Gaga. It was all very exciting!

Lydia had a fantastic modeling portfolio session at Locust Grove and the Henry Clay in Louisville! She was a lot of fun and wonderful to work with! Here are just a few shots from the session!
Ryan and Andrea had a great engagement session on a day that was pretty cold in February. We had a lot of fun moving around the Galt House and Rivue and they even went outside for awhile where it was about 11 degrees! They seemed to do a good job at keeping each other warm, though. Ryan is an airline pilot and Andrea works in sales. I should have asked Ryan if he flew with the windows open and Andrea if she sold igloos for a living, because they stayed out by the waterfront for about 20 minutes without coats!
Their wedding is in November at the Cathedral of the Assumption with their reception at the Galt House. They are a great couple, fun and easy going, and their wedding is going to be a blast!
Laura and Gabriel were marred at the The Grand in New Albany, IN, on February 26, 2011. The weather was a little chilly and they spent most of the day inside having fun, but we did manage to slip outside for a few shots that night!

Most of the images on our blog are wedding related, but I swear that isn't all we shoot. So I just want to state for the record that this car isn't marrying anybody. But I'm sure a few people would like to take it out for an evening.
The 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL is considered one of the most collectible Mercedes-Benz models of all time. Sports Car International magazine ranks the 300SL as the number 5 sports car of all time. I'll go with that. Jay Leno is a big time car collector and he owns a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL as well, and he says that only 1402 of the 300SL's were ever produced. I'll go with that, too.
This one belongs to Todd Blue and Indigo Classic Cars in Louisville, KY, and we are thankful for the opportunity to photograph such a valuable car. At auction, they can go for more than three-quarters of a million dollars.

Jackie & Brian were married on November 20, 2010. The day began at the Seelbach Hilton in downtown Louisville where they both got prepared for the day. They decided to see each other before the ceremony. ( This is something we encourage because it allows the bride and groom to have a special moment early in the day, creates beautiful photos, and generally puts them at ease afterward.) They shared their moment on the street outside of the Seelbach, and afterward, we had time for a few portraits and then the bridal party hopped on a trolley and stopped at a couple locations downtown for pictures before heading to Concordia Lutheran Church for the ceremony. After the formal portraits, we attended the reception at the Kosair Shriner Center Ballroom which was a lot of fun. Jackie & Brian are such a sweet couple and they compliment each other well! We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and photographing their wedding.

Angela & Brant celebrated their wedding at the Louisville Marriott Downtown on October
16, 2010. They had their beautiful ceremony at that location as well as a really cool reception. It was fun sharing their day with them and their families.
We were able to work with some of our favorite wedding vendors. Richard
Ayson and the rest of the crew at the Marriott really do such a wonderful
job. We really have to give props to the Louisville Marriott Downtown. The food and
the service are always extraordinary. We are always appreciative of how they
treat us as vendors. Sounds Unlimited Productions were the DJ's and Classic
Pixels Video Productions did the video. They were both fantastic to work with!

Joe wanted a session in the studio without doing anything on locations around Louisville. His high school senior portrait session was a lot fun. He really loves music and he got to do a variety of shots with and without his instrument.
